FAQ
Concrete slab cost questions
How much does a concrete slab cost in Australia?
A plain reinforced slab or driveway runs roughly $65 to $120 per square metre supplied and poured for basic work, climbing with decorative finishes, pump hire and base prep. A typical 40 to 60m² slab lands around $2,800 to $9,500 all up.
What thickness should my slab be?
Paths and patios are usually 100mm, driveways 100 to 125mm, and shed or heavy-load slabs 125mm or more. Thicker slabs use more concrete and mesh, which lifts the price. Always follow your engineer's spec for structural work.
Does the price include excavation?
The base estimate assumes a reasonably level, prepared site. If you need a site cut, base rock or thickened edges, the real cost rises - a concreter will confirm after a site look.
How do I get an exact concreting quote?
