Why a link quote beats a PDF template

A printed quote can't let the customer swap downlights or add a power point. The link can, and you see the moment they open it.

  • They say yes on their phone. Accept with their name, a tick or a signature, with a record of who and when.
  • Extras and choices add themselves up. They tick an optional extra or pick one option and the total, GST and deposit follow.
  • The deposit comes with the yes. By card when they accept, or your bank and PayID details show straight after.

    Yes. No email, no sign-up. Type on the page, then print it or save it as a PDF from your browser's print screen.

  • Should my quote show prices including GST?

    If you're registered for GST, show the total including GST. Australian consumer law expects consumers to see a single total price, and the ATO's tax invoice rules apply when the job is invoiced. If you're not registered, don't add GST at all.

  • What terms suit an electrical quote?

    This template starts with these: This quote is valid for 30 days from the date above. All work is carried out by a licensed electrician, tested and certified on completion.   • How long should a quote be valid for?

    Most tradies use 14 to 30 days, because material prices move. Put the date on the quote so there's no argument later.
