How card deposit fees work.

When a customer pays a deposit by card, the money goes straight to your own Stripe account.

  • Stripe's card fee plus 0.5% to Karven
  • The fee is paid by you, not your customer
  • No Karven fee on bank transfer or PayID

  • Your breakdown stays private

    Your cost and profit are in a PDF only you can download. They never appear in the customer's link, PDF or email.

  • They see the total before they sign

    When they select an extra, the total updates on their phone before they accept.

  • You choose how much they see

    Choose Full breakdown, Section totals or Total only. The total is the same in each.

  • Follow-ups wait for your OK

    Karven writes each follow-up and nothing goes until you tap Send, unless you turn on Send automatically.

  • Deposits are paid to you

    Card deposits are paid into your own Stripe account. Customers can also pay by bank transfer.

  • Is Karven worth another subscription?

    Starter is $29/mo inc GST for a solo tradie. One extra job a year pays for it.

  • How does the free trial work?

    21 days free, every feature on, no card, from the day you set up your trade. After that, new quotes need a plan, but nothing you made is deleted.

  • Is GST included?

    Yes. What you see is what your card is charged. You get a tax invoice each month.

  • What's the difference between the plans?

    Every plan quotes the same way. Starter is 1 user. Business is up to 5 users (1 user for now, team invites coming soon). Pro is unlimited users (1 user for now, team invites coming soon), plus BAS and TPAR figures, subbie invoices (RCTI) and a safe place for your licence and insurance. No extra cost: switch them on in Settings → Add-ons → Compliance.

  • Can I add my team yet?

    Not yet. Every plan has 1 user for now. Team invites are coming, and we'll let you know.

  • Is there a discount for paying yearly?

    Yes, 2 months free: Starter $290/yr, Business $490/yr, Pro $990/yr, inc GST. No multi-year contracts.

  • Can I cancel any time?

    Yes, from Settings → My plan. No lock-in, and your first paid plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee.

  • Can I take my data with me?

    Yes. Export your quotes, customers and invoices any time from Settings → Connections → Data export.

  • Do I need to be good with computers?
