Saved wording: warranty, terms and about us

Add your warranty, payment terms, what happens next and about us to a quote, and save your own wording to reuse.

Updated 2026-10-22

Price is only half a quote. The other half is the words that make a customer comfortable saying yes: what's covered, how they pay, what happens next and who you are. Saved wording lets you add those in a couple of taps without retyping them every time.

Adding wording to a quote

In the simple editor, hit Add a part or wording and look under Saved wording · no price. You start with four:

  • Warranty. What you stand behind and for how long.
  • Payment & terms. Deposit, progress payments, when the balance is due.
  • After you accept. What happens next, so the customer isn't left wondering.
  • About us. A few lines on your business.

Each one comes with starter wording that already has your business name in it. Edit it to say what you actually do.

Faster still: add Blank wording, type the first letters of a heading ("Pay") and press Enter. The whole Payment & terms block drops in.

Wording carries no price. It doesn't touch the total.

Save your own

Once a block reads the way you want, hit Save to Saved wording (or Update Saved wording) under it. Next time it comes up with your words. Write a new one with any heading, like "Site access", and save it the same way: it joins the list.

To change or delete saved wording later, go to My items and scroll to Saved wording. Quotes that already have it keep their copy.

Where it shows

Wording shows on the customer's quote page, after the price breakdown, and on the customer PDF. It shows whatever you've set the Customer sees setting to, because it's words, not prices.

Tips

  • Keep each block short. Five lines that get read beat a page that doesn't.
  • Be specific in the warranty. "7 years structural on the frame, 12 months on workmanship" says more than "fully guaranteed".
  • Use After you accept to set expectations on timing: "We'll call within two business days to lock in a start date."
